Designer and artist Brian Thoreen, born in 1979 in the United States, is currently a co-founder of the famous MASA Galeria in Mexico. His works always reflect a multi-perspective dialogue between his design and artistic points of view, while being easily accessible and relatable to a wide audience. Brian Thoreen emphasises the fundamental qualities of materials and how they can be intentionally ‘manipulated’ to bring surprises to the viewers.
Through this conversation, Brian Thoreen demonstrates his continuous process of learning and creativity, as each idea passes through the lenses of emotion and technique. The process enriches his experience and refines his creative language through his way of ‘playing’ with materials.
