Haf Chair is a very clean-shaped chair, designed by Cracow-based creative studio – Tok Studio (run by Michał Tokarski and Sonia Bak-Tokarska). The chair is the result of a thorough research for a new value in simplicity.
The main concept was to twist the back legs 45 degrees and therefore to achieve an intriguing and sublime detail. The object has a slender yet elegant silhouette, still tough, remaining an unpretentious, simple wooden chair.
Minimalist, functional, with non-obvious details, the Haf Chair is made entirely of ash wood. Wood is covered by two layers of special indoor linseed oil. Deep navy blue pigmentation, applied meticulously by hand, gives the object a bit of sleekness and sophistication.
The appeal of the chair lies in its simple construction, stackability, and uncluttered manufacturing process. The seat and the backrest are shaped by CNC machining, the rest combines machine and hand work, thus making production straightforward and highly optimal.
