05 AM architectura is an architecture office based in Girona, Spain since 2005 by two architects Joan Arnau and Carme Muñoz. Their practice and professional expertise is based on the realisation of projects, interiors, and landscapes architecture.
In a 1950’s extension of a building by Rafael Masó – one of the most excellent Catalan architect in early 20th century, a complete refurbishment is carried out by 05 AM architectura to accommodate a new way of living.
The house provides multiple spaces with a certain ambiguity that increases the potential for use and perception.

The floor plan is characterised by the incision of two open patios, one south facing and the other on north facing. These interstitial spaces, which are colonised by vegetation, provides lighting, and interesting visual communications between different rooms of the house.
