Hat, Hood and Stamp

Hat, Hood and Stamp are three lighting objects from a recent product collection by SOZOU Studio. Squares, triangles, and rectangles create a volume of structured and symmetrical geometry while intricately hanging metal and glass panels share delicate bodies and a gentle nature.

We strive to form a design that is intuitable and that people can easily relate to. For us, simplicity is the most difficult thing to achieve and proto-shapes are the foundation that we structure our making language with.

Hat

Stamp

Hat, Hood and Stamp reinterprets elemental shapes of human-made and natural worlds and merges them with studio’s charged connections to objects of the past. This collection aims to enrich space in a sensitive way through the delivery of lighting that subtly speaks to nature, personal memory and design nostalgia.

There is an eternal beauty in objects despite their date of manufacture or design trends; a beauty that remains intact throughout time and we all can feel and experience when looking at a well-made product. At the studio we attempt to think with the concept of timeless beauty and reinterpret it through contemporary approaches.
