Cao Lãnh

Cao Lãnh House is a design by TAD Atelier, located in Tân Thuận Tây commune along Nguyễn Hữu Kiên treet, where rapid urbanization is taking place. The house blends modern living with a touch of traditional architecture, catering to the desires of its owner, who is a solitary poet.

The living space extends towards the river’s edge, intertwining lush green landscapes with the living areas, blurring the boundaries between architecture and nature, granting greater freedom to the inhabitants.

“We perceived the concept of a ‘bird’s nest’ from the investor. He had previously lived in the city, within a ‘nest’ which he had adjusted and accumulated over the years. The homeowner decided to return to the countryside, close to his family, and he wished for the new house to be created in a similar manner.”

The house essentially consists of a space that combines living, working, and resting. Apart from meeting the minimal living requirements, the house is also designed to fulfill the spiritual needs of the owner. The union of human, living space, and garden allows him to introspect and open his heart to the world.
