Van Dinh communal house has been in Keo village (Dong Lo commune, Ung Hoa town, Hanoi) for more than 300 years. It worships The King Duc Minh Linh – who supported the Le King during wartime.
Like other communal houses in the Doai, besides spiritual elements, this communal house is the place that holds every public activity of Keo village. From the perspectives of culture and art, this is one among other communal houses in old Ha Tay that could remain meticulous wooden carving details, representing the sleight of hand of ancient craftsman.
Until the 19 century, many communal houses in the Doai were under restoration by detectives of the Nguyen dynasty, among those are some details such as dragons, the four spiritual animals, flowers, etc, but the details were depicted in the same techniques and style of art.
