Single family house was designed by El Sindicato Arquitectura, located in Perucho, rural town in the Metropolitan District of Quito, Ecuador. It seeks to be a refuge from urban life that allows its owner to relate with nature by being located in a rural environment surrounded by mountains and vegetation.

The design focused on enhancing the visual connection with nature and on achieving a sense of tranquility and shelter inside the house. We propose to take advantage of the views of the mountains through large windows on the west façade, and to ensure privacy from the neighbors and passers-by on the street adjoining the land by a continuous skin of bricks that begin as the south façade, transform into a roof and end up as the north façade of the project.
