DDoffice is a design office located in a densely populated area of District 7, Ho Chi Minh city. DD Concept created this office with a desire to have an open workspace to increase interaction between colleagues and connect with nature. Due to the limited and narrow space of 38m2, the architects decides to work on a vertical design solution.
The relationship of people in the office is improved thanks to layers of blank spaces from all sides and interfloor space.

The optimal solution for the project is “hanging structure”. The floor systems are staggered and hung on the ceiling, creating connected workflow despite the floors. Steel plates are used for flooring, giving the atmosphere lightness and float in the air.
The office’s facade is made of glass from the 2nd to the 4th floor to get sunlight, at the same time cool down the view by the bamboo clump outside.
The privacy of the office is protected by the “leafy-curtain” covering the glass, clearing the transition of interior and exterior. The connection with nature is presented through the in-house hanging garden and one on the roof.
